Victoria is our newest employee and whilst we’ve gotten to know a lot about her, there’s still more we want to know, so we asked Victoria 16 questions to find out a bit more about her.
Let’s start easy, what is your job role and how long have you been at Viegli?
I am the Marketing Executive, which pretty much means I have my hand in many pies including our socials, the website, and creating marketing packs for our resellers. I joined in February 2020, this is my second job after graduating so I’m still pretty fresh in the working world!
What is your favourite movie?
Oo, that’s actually a tough one, I’m the kind of person who loves the last movie they saw!
Well, what is the last movie you saw?
That would be Jurassic World (I actually have a Jurassic World jumper that I wear frequently) definitely a great movie in my opinion.
Other than that, I’d probably say it’s got to be Finding Nemo, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, or pretty much any of the Marvel movies! Sorry that’s not really a definitive answer!
What would you do if you won the lottery?
It depends how much I won, but assuming it’s a few million I would pay off my parent’s mortgage, my future in-law’s mortgage, pay off my own (soon-to-be) mortgage, and then probably go on a really long holiday to Cyprus. The rest would be saved for the future.
So, would you say Cyprus is your favourite place you’ve ever visited?
I went there pretty much every summer growing up, so it holds a really special place in my heart. But I think my favourite place I’ve ever been would be California, specifically Disneyland!
Where would you love to visit that you haven’t yet?
Orlando for Disneyworld and Universal, or Australia because it looks so beautiful!
What is your favourite thing about coming to work?
I think it has to be the environment. We all get along pretty well, and we’re really relaxed so it makes coming to work something to look forward to!
10 years ago, what did you think you’d be doing now?
About 10 years ago my dream was to be a lawyer I think, or a detective. I’m not sure when or why I changed my mind, but I don’t regret it!
So, if you weren’t working here at Viegli, what do you think you’d be doing now?
I think I probably would have gone into the police. True Crime and Crime Fiction are my favourite genres in pretty much any category so it’s something I’ve always felt an affinity to.
I feel like I’ll know the answer to this one then, what are three of your favourite hobbies?
Ok, predictable one first, I listen to True Crime and Crime Fiction podcasts pretty much constantly. I highly recommend fellow True Crime fans listen to Morbid: A True Crime Podcast.
I also love baking, and I really enjoy drawing, but I’m not particularly good at that!
Either to play the piano, or a cartwheel.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully rising the ranks in the world of marketing, and hopefully with Viegli being a much bigger company!
What is your favourite food?
My boyfriend’s dad makes amazing Carnitas, which is definitely one of my favourite meals!
My favourite thing to have from a restaurant though would be Pizza Hut’s Can’t believe it’s not cheesecake! Honestly you wouldn’t know it’s vegan!
Keeping on the theme of food, if you could have 4 people, alive or dead, come for a dinner party who would it be and why?
My Grandad, because I miss him, Alex Horne because I love Task Master, I think Alex is a genius! Chris Pratt because he is in a lot of movies I like and seems like a nice guy, and then this is a bit of a weird one. Israel Keyes, he was a serial killer who buried kits in different states and used to do lots of weird ways of traveling to avoid suspicion, I think he only got caught when he withdrew money from a ransom he demanded.
Assuming he wouldn’t try and hurt anyone, I just want to ask him questions and get inside his head, like how did he remember where he’d buried his kits, what made him choose certain people, or made him avoid choosing others. Whilst it’s pretty morbid, I am really interested in the psychology of a killer, so to get to dissect the thoughts of one in complete safety would be pretty interesting!
Wow that is a real mix of people… so tell us an interesting fact about you.
I have stupidly long arms for my height, they say your arm span is meant to be equal to your height. I’m about 5ft 4 and my arm span is over 5ft8! It does mean I can reach a lot of things people my height normally couldn’t though, so it could be worse!
And last, but not least, let’s end on an easy one. What is your favourite animal?
Either an elephant or a tiger, I can’t choose!
Thank you Victoria for sitting down with me to answer my questions!
